Heart Health
Supports normal heart function
Omega-3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated, with ALA, EPA, and DHA being the most well-known. EPA and DHA support heart health, while DHA also contributes to brain function and vision. ALA is found in plant oils such as flaxseed and soybean oil, whereas EPA and DHA are primarily present in fish and shellfish. Eggs and some meats also contain small amounts.
Our bodies can convert ALA into EPA and DHA, but for those following a diet without fish, omega-3 supplements are a good alternative. In our webshop, you’ll find Royal Green fish oil, vegan omega-3 as well as a vegan Omega-3 from PUUR Rineke.

Omega-3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fats. The best known are alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). EPA and DHA have a beneficial effect on the heart. DHA is also good for brain function and vision. Sources of ALA include plant oils such as flaxseed oil and soybean oil. EPA and DHA are mainly found in fish and shellfish, but these fatty acids are originally derived from algae. Eggs and some types of meat contain small amounts of EPA and DHA. Our body can convert a limited amount of ALA into EPA and DHA.
If you don’t eat fish or shellfish, omega-3 supplements are a good alternative. In our webshop, you can find fish oil and a vegan omega 3 from Royal Green and a vegan Omega-3 from the brand PUUR Rineke.
