100% pure & certified organic acacia honey from Hungary

Much of the cheaper acacia honey on the market comes from China. Labels then state: blend of EU and non-EU honeys. In practice, this usually means the EU portion comes from Hungary, while the non-EU content is Chinese honey—European honey blended with lower-cost acacia from China. We never do this. This alone explains the price difference between our honey and the cheaper blended acacia honeys. The difference in quality is also clearly visible: blended acacia honey tends to be darker and cloudy. Just compare our pure acacia honey with other brands and you’ll see the contrast.

Our premium 100% European acacia honey comes from the Robinia pseudoacacia tree, which blossoms in May and June in Hungary. During this short flowering period, our bees collect nectar from trees as tall as 25 metres, resulting in a truly unique honey. It is without doubt our sweetest and most popular variety.
 
Never pressure-filtered
Before honey can be jarred, it must be cleaned. This can be done either through mechanical pressure filtration or traditional sieving. To speed up production, many brands use pressure filtration: the honey is forced through a filter at high pressure. Traditional sieving and processing can take several days, but involves no high pressure and generates no heat. At Royal Green, we are in no rush—we choose unprocessed honey so that all valuable nutrients are preserved.
